More About Me...

If you want all the details, visit the "Fun Facts" link located below! But for everything else, stay tuned...

I'm one of those authors who will say that I never dreamed of becoming a professional writer. I always loved school and I did the post-secondary option my jr. year of high school to receive college credits. While I was at OUE, I had several professors tell me I had a gift for writing. Wanting to test that, I wrote an article for the American Cancer Society on my struggle with brain cancer and was awarded a scholarship, reinforcing my love for writing. I always knew that my passion was writing, but I didn't pursue it as a career until after raising my family. I studied at Ohio University Eastern for a little while, but it wasn't until many years later that I started my first novel. I became a stay-at-home mom and studied at other academic institutions, writing a few other short stories, but the idea for my first novel came when my husband kept me up in the night from his snoring and I couldn't sleep. That's how I started The Slayer. Several drafts later, I had a full-length novel. After writing my first two novels, I signed on with Static Pen Publishing. I'm currently working on several other novels, including a sweet historical romance that will pull at your heartstrings.

I'm married to my high-school sweetheart, surviving the up and down weather of rural Ohio together with our four children. I absolutely adore being a writer and wouldn't dream of any other life (except mom life, of course!). But don't ask me where I get the ideas for my books, because my answer will always be that I have no idea and I truly don't. Most of my inspiration comes from long walks, almond milk lattes, and perusing old cemeteries for the coolest retired names for characters I  can find.
