About ME

If you want the juicy details, visit the "Fun Facts" link located above! But for everything else, stay tuned...

I'm one of those authors who will say that I never dreamed of becoming a professional writer. I received a scholarship from the American Cancer Society in High school for an article I wrote on my struggle with brain cancer and I always knew that my passion was writing, but I didn't pursue it as a career until after raising my family. I studied at Ohio University Eastern for a few years, focusing on English, but it wasn't until many years later that I started my first novel. I became a stay-at-home mom and studied at other academic institutions, writing a few other short stories, but the idea for my first novel came when my husband kept me up in the night from his snoring and I couldn't sleep. That's how I started The Slayer. Several drafts later, I had a full-length novel. After working as an Independent author for several years, I signed on with Static Pen Publishing who have signed The Slayer. I'm married to my high-school sweetheart, surviving the up and down weather of rural Ohio together with our four children. I absolutely adore being a writer and wouldn't dream of any other life (except mom life, of course!). But don't ask me where I get the ideas for my books, because my answer will always be that I have no idea and I truly don't. Most of my inspiration comes from long walks, almond milk lattes, and perusing old cemeteries for the coolest retired names for characters I  can find.
